Marijke is a passionate sports person herself, competing in a variety of sports, including gymnastics, hockey, athletics and triathlons.
Marijke is a dedicated Physiotherapist with a deep passion for mobility and improving quality of life through movement. Her journey into the world of Physiotherapy started at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, where she earned her degree in 2009.
In 2011 she specialized in Spinal Manual Therapy, this specialized training gave her the expertise to address and treat various spinal issues, helping patients find relief from pain and regain function in their daily lives.
Marijke’s most notable and longstanding passion is CrossFit. Her experience in these dynamic sports gave her a unique perspective on the body’s needs and she draws on this experience to help her patients recover and enhance their physical performance.
She has also had the privilege to work in a variety of sports settings as a Physiotherapist, from rehabilitation to injury prevention and performance enhancement. This hands-on experience, combined with her athletic background, enables her to offer a comprehensive approach to physiotherapy that’s tailored to everyone’s goals, whether it’s recovering from an injury, improving athletic performance, or simply gaining better mobility.
Mobility is a great passion for Marijke and is at the core of her practice. She has been a qualified mobility coach since 2022. She firmly believes that a body in motion is a body that thrives.
