Sport specific rehabilitation
Sport-specific rehab focuses on helping any athlete on their journey from dealing with an acute injury right through to safe and effective return to play. It involves three key stages:
- Assessment: We will evaluate your injury, including movement patterns, strength, flexibility, and functional limitations, to develop a personalized rehabilitation plan.
- Treatment: A combination of hands-on therapy (e.g., manual therapy, dry needling), strengthening exercises, mobility work, and sport-specific drills are then used to restore function, reduce pain, and address any weaknesses or imbalances.
- Rehabilitation and Return to Play: Once you have regained strength, mobility, and sport-specific skills, we normally use graded exposure (e.g., progressive training, drills, or practice) to ensure that you are physically and mentally prepared for full participation in your sport.
